Ceramic Coating Marketing: Why You Want Enquiries, Not Clicks

Cheap clicks are easy. Booked £700–£1,800 packages are not. The funnel is completely different — and most studios are running the wrong one.

If you run a ceramic coating studio, the temptation is to chase the cheapest cost-per-click possible. Big headline numbers ("we got you 4,000 clicks!") look good in a screenshot. The problem is they very rarely turn into booked coatings.

Cheap clicks bring the wrong people

The cheapest clicks come from broad audiences, vague creative and bargain hooks. The people who click are usually browsing, comparing or hunting for a deal. None of those people are going to spend £900 on a 5-year coating on a Tuesday afternoon.

What you actually want is fewer, better enquiries. The cost per enquiry is higher. The conversion to a booked package is dramatically higher.

What a proper ceramic funnel looks like

  1. Audience built around the right cars. Premium German, Japanese performance, EVs, anything fresh out of PCP delivery. Not "anyone who likes cars".
  2. Creative that shows the level you actually work at. Slow pans across finished panels, paint correction shots, the booth, the unit. Not stock footage.
  3. A landing page with packages. Bronze / Silver / Gold or whatever you call them — with what's included, what the prep looks like, what the warranty is.
  4. Enquiry form that asks about the car. Make, model, colour, what they're hoping for. This alone filters out half the time-wasters.
  5. Follow-up that pre-sells the visit. Photos of similar cars you've done. A booking link or a callback time.

Honest expectations

A well-built ceramic funnel in a city catchment usually produces 10–25 quality enquiries a month on £100–£160 ad spend. Of those, well-run studios book 30–50% into a proper package. The numbers won't look as flashy as "5,000 reach" — but the till tells a different story.

What to stop doing

  • Boosting posts of finished cars to "everyone in 25 miles"
  • Sending traffic to Instagram instead of a landing page you control
  • Quoting full prices over Instagram DMs before they've seen the unit
  • Letting enquiries sit in a shared inbox for two days
